Catalyst to Buy Oil: TD8

Apparently, TD8 may become a major hurricane, en route Eastern Coast U.S.

My watch list includes:

VLO, TSO, DK, NGAS, CEO, SU and USO.

UPDATE: I am aware that there are no oil rigs on the east coast, U.S. It is very early to make predictions, as to whether TD8 will head towards the Gulf. I know that. However, its worth noting, the "hurricane season" is starting to heat up again.

Comments:
Hello Broker

TD#8 may effect Bermuda or the U.S. East Coast. This has nothing to do for a bullish call on oil,and Oil service.

The area it may hit is far from the Gulf Of Mexico Complexs, the guls is very safe from this, and the trades in the pits could not care about it...

TD8 is clearly curving North towards Bermuda which takes it well East of any oil or gas fields. I don't know what kind of dynamic would cause it to veer hard West. The GOES-East wx sat shows that all the pressure will keep it well out to sea for some time to come.

I agree with all of the comments above.

However, often times the path of these storms are unpredictable.

Great Site! Thanks. I remember Carol- thought the old homestead out in Bay Shore was going to be ripped apart and blown away.

john, TD 8 will move hard west if there was a low or a high that came down from the north. At this stage of the storm's progression that kinda thing happens, hence NG's volatility. current projections are loose
