Earnings Hell

Yeah, I own SNDK too, down a 10 spot this morning. But, I own the stock from $24 and will never sell it. There are some stocks that I own for so long and so low, that it makes sense to buy more on dips, rather than trade out of them. Regarding SNDK, I will likely add to my position if it trades into the low 40's.

Honestly, owning stocks during earnings season is like walking through a narrow alley while some asshole throws piano's at you from the rooftops. I hate it.

So far, the season has been a major disappointment-- with the exception of select small cap surprises.

NOTE: The Mets lost to the riff-raff of the National League. Nice job Beltran.

Comments:
Broker - too bad about the Mets. I feel for U. Your Mets should have won......but as you know - sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Yes, my Cardinals were lucky to win the series - no doubt about it.

However - there's no need to be degrogatory about the team that BEAT your team.....especially since we were swinging toothpicks instead of baseball bats!!

Going to the Big Dance Baby....

BOO YAA

LOL.

Congrats on the series. But, as a Card fan, you must admit, this is not one of your best team.

I mean, in past years, the Cards have fielded some great teams. But, this one, is like a compilation of bench warmers, sorry.

I must say, the thing that bothered me the MOST, out of all the things that happened in the series, was Tony fucking Larussa with his fucking sun glasses-- in the dug out-- at night.

That really pissed me off.

Other than that, I thought it was a great series.

Can't argue w/that Broker......the team is one of the weaker ones of recent years.

Our pitching was much better (exception of Carpenter) than it has been all year.

Hitting was TERRIBLE!!

Fielding - not too bad (with the exception of Rollen throwing in the stands last night.....what a joke that was.....

Grades:
Team - C+
Pitching - A-
Hitting - D
Fielding - B+

Seems you don't much care for Carlos "The Cardinal Killer" Beltran.

Tell you what - how bout we trade Encarnacion for Beltran?????

You wanna see a guy who shouldn't even be on a major league roster - let alone a starter........meet Juan Encarnacion.....Most Valuable Rally Killer in the league!!

(And he's been the MVRK ALL year long!!)

LaRussa......excuse is he has some type of eye issue and can't take the lights....who knows???

OT - Thank you for the GREAT blog and Excellent posts!!

Hey, this is good therapy-- discussing the game with a Card fan.

Honestly, how nervous were you when the bases were loaded and Beltran stepped up?

Also, how did you feel when Chavez stole the Rolen homer?

Thanks for the compliments.

Nervous......when you had men on 2nd and 3rd (6th or 7th I think) - I pretty much chucked things then.

I'm a die hard Cardinals fan - 37 years now - but even I could see the hand-writing on the wall at that point. Suppan pitched an Excellent game last night!!

Beltran in the 9th........by that time I was ok w/whatever......it was in the hands of the Gods by then.....

Chavez ROBBED Rollen. Made an EXCEPTIONAL catch.....matching some of Edmonds best ever (big JE fan). Best part (from a Mets perspective) was that he was in the game enough to immediately throw back in and double-up Edmonds on first.

Two thumbs up for that play, two thumbs WAY UP!! :)

I knew Molina would be the one to beat us.

All series, he looked good at the plate. He's one of those guys who gets good pitches to hit, because the pitcher thinks he sucks, then drills it.

want to really get mad? The cards were singing the "Jose" chant in their locker room after the game in mockery. I'll post a link to it.
