Quick Alert: Market Screwed

In case you hadn't noticed, the market is in danger of giving back all of yesterday's gains. Not only would that be utterly fucktarded, it would also drive me to go eat another Texas Double Whopper.

I was about to bust loose and make all sorts of money, then the bitch, Mother Market, punched me in the nose and put me back in place.

Other than the Metals, nothing is working.

More on this later...

Comments:
Today the bull's portfolios got machine gunned. Tomorrow it will be the bears.

Go figure...

got some fava beans, inviting all longs out to my campfire for dinner.

Good for the nimble (and the brokers). I am actually leaning long now...

Kid--

Funny. I now believe the earth will explode and the Nazz will go to 1,000-- as a result.

I am buying some SMH now and will hold overnight (unless it gains 15% before the close in which case I will sell).

There still seems to be a bid under technology.

I am long IBM calls

Richard,

If this is the best the sellers can muster then we are in for a nice snap back...

I prefer lima beans

patience, my child

remember , it's all goldilocks.

Perhaps Fly is right and the cynicism of your generation, Richard, will prevent you from making obscense amounts of money.

Fly might be a few years younger than I but I think we both espouse the prosperity / optimism thesis.

(even though he might not be feeling that emotion at this very minute).

GO GOLDILOCKS!

>>Perhaps Fly is right and the cynicism of your generation, Richard, will prevent you from making obscene (spelling corrected) amounts of money. <<

already have

that's the easy part.

65% of all the gains made the the avg bull mkt are given back when the bear roars.

keeping it is the hard part.

realism is not cynicism.

tetering at the top of the stairs. lol

Richard--

Good call, so far. What are you betting against?

Fly,

Do you want to push him or should I?

Glad to hear you have made obscene money, Richard and thanks for the spelling correction (perfectionist).

Win or lose I love this game. I agree that keeping it is the hard part which I why I plow my winnings into other income-generating assets.

"GO GOLDILOCKS!"

KidStock, your hope will be your demise. With the transition from yesterday to today the market is toast.

Today's drop sure makes me feel like going to Burger King.

been long qid's since mid 11/06. (dbl qqqq short position)

just went short aapl.

shorted shld at the dbl top.

been short cub since late 11/06

+several smaller shorts.

long everything in telecom, big pharma, prop insurers, & defense. (defensive longs with decent payouts.)

portfolio 60% long 30% short, +-10%cash

btw, i love this game also. nothing beats it.

Fly,

Dont tell me you're considering the dark side???

The money coming out of bonds is going to make its way to the market. Everybody's freaking out as the yield curve adjusts from its inversion.

Go Goldilocks

is that liver i smell? time to open a nice chianti.

also adding sprix. housing has a long way to go before it bottoms.

"is that liver i smell? time to open a nice chianti."

Goldilocks is hiding in the bushes with a gun waiting for you Mr. Bear to come into the bait pile...

Anybody for a Happy Ending (Oh, can only get one of those in Chinatown!)

Go Goldilocks
