Sector Spotlight: Financials

We're going higher today. Tech will drag the DOW up by its boot straps, effectively poleaxing Doug Kass and his stupid fucking friends.

I know, you are thinking: "hey, asshole, how do you know this?"

My reply, as always: "Fucktard, I have a time machine."

If you are short the market, cover now, else you will be covering later--for much bigger losses.

Already, Naz 100 stocks are mud stomping the shorts, with gains in GRMN, RIMM, NVDA, AAPL, CELG and BIIB.

Personally, I'm enjoying caffeinated gains in RIMM, NTRI, ATI, VMI, AAPL, VLO, ALJ and OEH.

In short, the gap lower this morning was a fucking gift. However, the financials still suck straw, with mean losses in ABK, MS, NCC, CS, DB, HRB and BCS.

Just avoid the sector.

As for me, I have a list of new stocks on my purchase list, most of them have exposure to the filtration business. Don't ask.

My list includes CLC, DCI, PLL, PMFG, PH and maybe FLDR.

NOTE: It appears iiG's CEO, Don "dollar" Danks will not be stepping down. Bad news for the bears. I still like the name, especially going into earnings.

Comments:
If you have a time machine, go find out the numbers for Mega Millions $325 million jackpot instead of fucking around and nibbiling at "discounted names such as LNN."

don't bother buying any tickets for that mega millions... i've got the winner in my back pocker

Lottery tickets? where is the fun in that?

duurrr! Pocket!

Lotto?

What the fuck?

Only losers/poor people play lotto.

I'd rather fuck around with LNN, than be seen on a fucking lotto line.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no difference between a lotto line and a soup line.

filtration - I'm asking ? seems obvious anyways .. how bout CCC, IDXX, MIL, AMN ?

You're right about that Fly. However, if I had a time machine, I think I would go get the winning numbers or a sports almanac so I can start a casino in Hill Vally.

Rimm is serving me well, so far
I'm just getting fucked hard on PTN

otr - u said u were willing to ride that mule into the ground .. where do u double down?

Lotto line = Soup line, that's classic and exactly how I feel. At 1/34,000,000, the odds of staying poor are assured.

Filtration? Let me guess, Dems take over government and make industry clean up their act.

I'm riding it down (PTN) - not happy about it but you can sometimes get hurt bailing off a bucking horse than riding him down. No double down - I'm in heavy all ready and I'm willing to lose my position.

A friend of mine is buying PTN today, incidentally.

Why I'm buying filtration stocks?

My wife mentioned it.

I'll have you know, Mrs. Fly is never wrong when it comes to stumbling along monster winners.

Perhaps financials have hit a bottom (short term only?) Investment bankers downgraded today and yet they are barely unchanged. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up strong today IMO.

MVIS is starting to look good again technically...a close above about 4.90 today would spell a breakout

ANAD for a breakout play.

Holy crap, Kerouac, did I just see that you are attempting short the monster RIMM again?

Apparently, the Stonewall riots gave you a taste for getting your teeth kicked in, and that's now morphed into an addiction.

Jeezer, don't you know a bull flag when you see one?

OTR must have forgotten to take his Geritol this morning.

He's going to need to cut himself a new colostomy bag if he doesn't cover soon.

Talk about the warm smell of colitis rising up through the air...

I know you said to avoid the sector.

But every since I bought that Felix UNGar, I've felt a strong urge to purchase some Oscar Goldman.

I mean, for crap's sake, it's the gem of the industry, and it's CHEAP!!

wives are out there in the real world pounding pavement, mixing it up with the washed & not so washed masses, buying shit for the family ... they unknowingly see things from the Peter Lynch angle. My sister, years ago, told her broker husband to buy WFMI when it was 30 .. he didn't .. went to 80

Don't cry for me Jake!

As for RIMM I'm even for the two days at 84.62.

I've got another horse just like the one I'm riding - You are certainly welcome to ride with me. As for the bull well it's touch and go. Bull Flag Yes and bull shit too. I'm riding RIMM today. Some may see this as gambling - I have a short stop at $1 above average short basis.

I love volatility!!!!!!!!!

Fly must be using a better time machine repair man. It seems to be humming along nicely lately.

Lehman recommended RIMM at Overweight
It looks like lehman was able to get out and now things are turning -
"High Noon" As for PTN I am considering it a loss - everyone has their own feelings and I do not recommend buying it at this point unless it becomes a take-over - as
not getting their stage III trials is a Death Sentence for the company.

MVIS, lol. What a fuckign joke, How many shares they give you to pump this crap. Fucktards. Suck a bag of dicks.

Since this may (MAY) be my last day of posting here - I have put on my Cowboy Hat - push it down hard on my head - and ride this sucker out..
RIMM is like working a rank bull - but I got a good horse - and he is getting his second wind. I'm about to mix up my Geritol - I actually did miss it this am - WTF

jake, nice eagles reference.

Hey Yason,

If you haven't made money in MVIS then you are indeed a fucktard.

And Fly...get that time machine back into the shop.
