What the fuck is going on here?

Don't play stupid and act like everything is normal. Just a month ago, most of you were buried in your "global growth" stocks. Now, all of a sudden, shit is on fire and stocks are ridiculous.

For example: can someone explain why LVS and WYNN are up 50% this month, while BYD sucks balls? I mean, has everyone, overnight, had an epiphany and decided to go gamble away the family nest egg?

What the fuck?

And, how about BIDU, GS, OSTK, VERT, CIEN, LULU and all of the Chinese Solar Burrito stocks?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a bull market and love to kick old men off the upper deck at Yankee Stadium; but this move is too much.

Some of these fucking stocks are in for a rude and brutal "talking to." However, at the same time, there are some cheap stocks worth buying, such as IVAC, JCG, BWLD, iiG, NTRI and MVIS.

In short, this is one of those times, when everything feels good, then bamm; you get your nose broken by Mother Market.

Comments:
MU is getting ready to fly.

Two words: Mack Cow.

NPR did a special this a.m. on the Asian Gambling Contagion.

Gapping:

I skimmed the S-1 for Equallogic. Phenomenal revenue growth and pre-IPO sponsorship. Thanks for highlighting it.

Do you know Compellent? Seems similar to Equallogic with equally outstanding growth. They've filed amendments to their S-1 so they seem to be further along and will come to market a bit sooner.

its the American Gambling Contagion ... the Asians caught that flu from us. Look at all of us ; we're up at the crack of dawn, getting ready for the opening of the worlds greatest & biggest casino at 9:30am est everyday.

They import textiles, we export vice.

Haven't you heard? The Fed cut rates by 50 basis points.

No more cancer.
Bald men are growing hair.
Dogs are picking up their own poop.

Prepare for 1000 years of unbroken prosperity.

lots of bear slaying short squeezes out there

Fly, an IQ of 155 or whatever you have is too high for this market. Dumb as a stump it the way to go.

For now.

I'm waiting for Chinese stocks to show up on the cover of Time.

China Investment Corp (CIC), the sovereign investment arm of the Chinese government has a war chest estimated at over $200 billion dedicated to keeping stocks in China (and potentially Hong Kong) propped up.

Communism at its best.

CIC has been getting private lessons from Greenspan

The Hong Kong market should take off, since that's where CIC will invest their "foreign" reserves.

The Mandarin orange apparently doesn't fall far from the tree.

Broker also mentioned that China will allow some of it's citizens in its larger cities to invest abroad (aka Hong Kong). Up until now, mainland Chinese have been locked-out of stocks like China Mobile, China Telecom, PetroChina and CNOOC, since these are not listed on the Shanghai or Shenzen exchanges.

That is about to change. You can see it being reflected in the current prices of those companies.
